Disclosure
Affiliate disclosure
Wearpost is an independent editorial site funded by affiliate commission. This page explains exactly how that works, in the order a reader encounters it.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link carries a tracking identifier. If you follow one and buy something, the retailer pays this site a percentage of the sale. You pay the same price either way. We do not receive your payment details, and we do not know what you bought.
Where the disclosure appears
On any entry that contains a shortlist with outbound links, a visible line sits directly beneath the shortlist heading and above the products:
Some links below are affiliate links — we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
Every outbound link then passes through an outbound page at /go. That page repeats the disclosure,
names the destination host, and waits five seconds before continuing, with a cancel option. It exists so that no
reader arrives at a retailer without having seen the relationship.
Outbound links also carry rel="nofollow sponsored", which identifies them to search engines. That
attribute is not a substitute for the visible disclosure and is not presented as one.
What commission does not buy
- Placement in a shortlist. Products are selected against a stated constraint, then checked for availability.
- A better verdict. Entries name the cases where a garment is the wrong choice.
- Silence. We do not remove accurate criticism at a brand's request.
- Coverage. There are no sponsored posts and no paid placements on this site.
When there is no affiliate link
Some shortlisted garments have no affiliate programme, or are sold only through retailers we cannot link to. In those cases the entry names the brand and describes the garment without an outbound link. This happens often enough that it is worth saying plainly: a page with no link is not a page we were paid less for.
Programmes
Wearpost participates in affiliate programmes operated by third-party networks and by brands directly. Commission rates vary by retailer and by category. We do not publish per-retailer rates, because the rate has no bearing on what we recommend and publishing it invites the wrong inference.
Questions
If any part of this is unclear, or if you think a page is missing a disclosure it should have, write to mail@wearpost.com. We would rather fix it than argue about it.
