Questions

Frequently asked

How the desk works, what a price or a rating means here, and what to do when we get something wrong.

01 Do you test the clothes you write about?
No. We do not have a laboratory, a studio or a fit panel, and we do not describe garments as if we had worn them for weeks. Measurements come from brand size charts and fabric compositions, behaviour claims from published care documents, and fit patterns from consistent reports across public reviews. Each entry names the source it is relying on.
02 How are products chosen for a shortlist?
From the constraint backwards. We define the measurement or construction requirement first, then look for garments that meet it across price bands. Commission plays no part: some shortlisted items have no affiliate programme, and when that is the case the entry says so.
03 Are the links on this site affiliate links?
Some are. When a shortlist contains outbound links, a disclosure appears directly above the list, and the link passes through an outbound page that repeats the disclosure before you continue. Commission does not change which products appear or what we say about them.
04 Why do some entries have no prices?
Because a price we cannot verify at the time of writing is worse than no price. Prices move by region and by week; where we quote one, it reflects the brand site at the time of the last update, and the entry is dated so you can judge how old that is.
05 Why is there no star rating on most pages?
A rating only means something if it belongs to a specific product page with a countable number of reviews. Ratings that appear identically across many products are store-level widgets. Rather than publish a number we cannot attribute, we leave it out.
06 Do you cover menswear and womenswear?
Both, with the same structural approach. The measurement logic is identical; the constraints differ. Entries are written for the section they sit in rather than assuming a single reader.
07 Can I suggest a topic or send a correction?
Yes, and corrections are the more useful of the two. Write to mail@wearpost.com with the page and the source you are relying on. Corrections are made in the entry and the updated date changes.
08 Do you publish coupons or sale roundups?
No. This is an editorial site. There are no deal pages, no discount codes and no sale calendars, and there never will be.
09 Who writes the entries?
A small editorial desk working across both categories. Entries are signed by the desk rather than by an individual, because the structure and sourcing rules are shared and the desk stands behind the whole page.
10 How often is an entry updated?
When a size chart changes, a product is discontinued, or a reader points out an error. The published date stays fixed; the updated date moves. Entries that have not been revisited are not silently re-dated.
